BROCHURES & BOOKLETS

For digitally printed booklets, we currently only offer A5 and A4 finished size booklets in portrait orientation through our on line system. If you need something else, for example landscape orientation booklets, please ask us for a quotation.

Imagine you have taken the staples out of the booklet; you can see that the cover is one sheet of paper or card, folded in the middle. One side of the sheet is the outside of the front and rear cover - this can be printed full colour, or B&W (Black & White). The other side side of the sheet is the inside of the front and rear cover - this can be printed full colour, or B&W, or left blank. For the purposes of this calculator, the cover counts as 4PP - whether or not the inside is left blank. See the note below on what "PP" means for more information.

These prices are on bright white matt FSC approved paper. If there's anything else you need that you can't see here, please ask - we may be able to help. If you choose a card cover of 200gsm or heavier, then we include pre-creasing in these prices. This ensures that the spines fold neatly and without cracking.

LAMINATING HELP

You have two options:-

full colour throughout
black & white throughout

if your booklet has lots of pages and only a few are colour, then it may be worth getting a custom price. Bear in mind that any colour at all counts as colour!

PP refers to "Printed Page", so an 8PP A5 is eight printed sides of A5, i.e. 2 sheets of A4 printed both sides, stitched (read "stapled", only print finishers would know or care about the difference) in the middle, folded and trimmed. Anything that you like, just ask us for a custom price. Bear in mind that over around 250, it usually becomes more economical to order litho printed booklets (just use the menu on your left to go to this section). Also, bear in mind that while we can print as little as one booklet, there are some setup and delivery costs which mean that very small quantities are proportionally more expensive.

Standard service is 4 working days to print from approval of artwork and we then send your order on a next business day courier. For non-account customers (with the exception of UK government and local government), we do not schedule your job until payment has been made. We can upgrade the delivery service to guaranteed next business day service or a Saturday delivery at an extra charge. If you need it in a hurry then the 2 day to print express service available - but you will need to speak with us and get a custom price. This is so that we can make sure before we accept an Express order that we have capacity to print it in time. All service times are working days until your print job is complete, don't forget to add time in transit to your planning. Collection from our factory is available BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.

Your first PDF proof is free of charge with your order. This will be viewable through your admin area of the web site. If you find that you need to make alterations and resubmit your artwork, we do charge £5 for each additional proof.

When you fold multiple sheets of paper, the inner pages "creep" out on the open end. This creep needs to be trimmed of to produce a neat job. Creep is more noticable with thicker booklets.

We include next business day delivery in these prices. Bear in mind are that "business days" for the next business day delivery service is defined by the courier company as Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays. This is not a guaranteed next day service, though you can pay extra and order this. Although it's not always possible, it's a really, really good idea to build an extra day into your schedule "just in case"!
