HP Latex Inks

HP Latex Inks produce vivid, durable prints on a wide variety of coated and uncoated materials.

They are suitable for a range of high quality applications from durable outdoor signage to odourless indoor displays. Durability outperforms eco-solvent ink and is comparable to low solvent ink technology with prints offering display permanence up to 3 years* unlaminated outdoors and up to 5 years* unlaminated indoors in direct sunlight. Out of direct sunlight, indoor displays can last even longer.

Our industrial printers use internal radiant heaters and forced airflow to cure the inks inside the printer to produce dry, ready-to-use prints. Prints can be laminated for extra durability or aesthetic effect. HP Latex Inks are pigmented, water-based inks using HP's innovative aqueous-dispersed polymer (Latex) technology. The water-based formulations of HP Latex Inks reduce the impact of printing on the environment. Due to the nature of this technology, there is no unpleasant out gassing of solvents, making these prints odour free from day one.

Inky uses genuine HP Latex inks.

Epson Ultrachrome Inks

Epson UltraChrome K3 inks with Vivid Magenta deliver stunning, photo-realistic image quality. The 8-colour inkset has the widest possible gamut for a fantastic range of expression and you'll see subtle shadows and highlights when printing in black and white. Images are reproduced consistently (even across different printers) in vivid, long-lasting colour.

Epson Ultrachrome inks are suitable for photo-realistic indoor applications.

Inky uses genuine Epson Ultrachrome inks.

* Display permanence ratings are a general guide only and actual durability will be affected by many other factors. For example, where a product is subject to mechanical abrasion the useful life will be reduced significantly, but a print that is kept out of direct sunlight and without large variations in temperature and humidity may last for far longer than the guide.

For HP Latex Inks:

Blueback paper: Indoor/Outdoor. This is a 115gsm poster paper with a blue backing. It is commonly used for billboards (outdoor boards for displaying adverts) and light boxes (like you see at bus stops), although it is very widely used just as a poster paper as well for indoor and outdoor use. The blue backing has two main purposes. Firstly, it's opaque meaning that you can paste these posters on top of others without the previous poster showing through. Secondly, it acts as a light diffuser, making it useful for many installations that are back lit. Note: if you want 4-sheet or 6-sheet posters (using blueback paper), go to the dedicated page to order these.

Silk photo realistic poster paper: Indoor. This is a thick, high quality silk paper suitable for indoor use.

Semi matt poster paper 140gsm: Indoor/Outdoor. This is a good quality semi matt (lustre finish) paper suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Good wet strength and suitable for use with wallpaper paste.

HP PVC free wallpaper: Indoor. This media is ideal if you want to create unique wall decorations from your own designs. Prints have the look and feel of professional wall paper, but they don't have the PVC. This media is matched with genuine HP Latex inks to give you odourless prints that are perfect for home, office or even restaurant decoration. The wall paper is GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified SM4 and meet AgBB criteria for health-related evaluation of VOC emissions of indoor building products as well as incorporating mould and mildew resistance. Installation is straightforward and as the wall paper is pre-pasted there's no need to use seperate wall paper paste. If you can hang normal wallpaper, you can hang this wallpaper. The only real difference is that you slightly overlap the strips, rather than "butt jointing" them. We automatically provide a small overlap area to allow this and it makes it easier to line up images and compensate for small inconsistencies in the underlying wall. There's nothing special to worry about when the time comes to remove the wallpaper, just soak and strip. Poly-cotton semi gloss canvas 300 gsm: Indoor. A 300gsm polyester cotton mix artistic canvas with a semi-gloss finish for excellent dense colour reproduction. It can be stretched over frames without cracking and is dimensionally stable due to its poly-cotton weave.

HDPE Reinforced Banner: Indoor/Outdoor. This is a light weight and recyclable alternative to traditional PVC scrim banners. Ideal for banners, retail needs, signage solutions, and street pole banners. At just 180 gsm, HP HDPE Reinforced Banner offers strength equal to or greater than most standard 440 gsm PVC scrim products. Recyclable where local facilities permit, or just return to us for recycling. Suitable for HP Latex inks only. Display permanence rating guide of 6+ months outdoor without lamination, 1+ years indoor in or near windows without lamination and 1+ years away from direct sunlight.*

Self Adhesive Gloss Vinyl: Indoor/Outdoor. Permanent adhesive, long lasting high quality gloss vinyl that produces excellent print quality and vibrant colours. Indoor and outdoor use. Not recommended for vehicle wrapping applications. Display permanence rating guide of 3 years outdoor without lamination, 5 years indoor in or near windows without lamination and 5+ years away from direct sunlight.*

You can choose from many of the common sizes, otherwise choose custom size and enter the exact size of your poster. Please remember that these are all printed on our large format machines, so if you want smaller posters of up to A3 size you will find that small format digital printing will be cheaper. Look under digital leaflets and remember that posters are standard rated for VAT.

We will resize your artwork automatically... so make sure you ask for the right thing! If you order an A0 and you upload an A4, we will automatically blow it up to an A0. If you order an A0 and you upload artwork that is not proportional in size to an A0, we'll still blow it up and make it "best fit" within an A0 without changing the aspect ratio (stretching it). You'll then end up with an A0 with blank areas either end. If that's not what you want, just have a chat with the helpdesk and we'll try to help.

The smaller sized posters from this page are very useful if you want a reduced size test copy on the same media and inks as your big posters.

This is the total quantity of posters that you need. If you want to print from more than one original (different posters), please select that option.

Laminating adds a clear protective layer to your poster. If your poster is to be used for a long time or handled repeatedly, this is a useful option. It's also used for decorative effect to give an overall high gloss or matt finish to the poster.

You can choose to have your poster lamination finished in one of two ways:

• With an overlap all the way around. This clear overlap is fused together forming a protective seal. We call this "encapsulated".
• With the laminated trimmed to the edge of the poster. We call this "edge trimmed".

In both cases the laminate film is applied to both sides.

If you want to print 6 copies of 1 poster or 1 copy each of 6 different posters, that's OK, we won't charge you a penny extra for that.

Unless you just want 1 poster from each original, we need to know what quantities you want of each, so please contact the helpdesk and tell us what you need.

Orders are normally sent on a next business day (non guaranteed) courier service. This can arrive any time during the day Monday to Friday. If you need to have your canvas delivered during a specific time, or on a Saturday, choose "more options" and select the option that you need.

We currently ONLY deliver to England, Scotland and Wales. We need to check the postcode for every address that is NOT mainland England or Wales, so if your delivery address is an island or a Scottish address, select the appropriate option.
