Q. My last job was printed with 3 pantone colours, the full colour letterheads that I've ordered from you will look exactly the same won't they?
A. Probably not. Pantone colours are precisely mixed to achieve a specific colour. You may be able to get an exact match in process colour, you may be able to get a reasonably close match. Or in some instances, you will not get a close match at all. You should get your graphic designer to redesign your letterheads in CMYK to the FOGRA29 standard. If your graphic designer is:- (a) not speaking to you / (b) backpacking in Timbuktu / (c) a mate from the pub who has disappeared (delete as appropriate), then we can give you a price to professionally update your artwork. Our Graphic Designers are degree level qualified (in Graphic Design!) and highly experienced.
Q. I've been disappointed with online letterhead printing before. I like your prices, but are you printing this on some horrendous old press in a shed somewhere and poisoning the planet?
A. These are printed on one of our shiny modern presses using the latest environmentally friendly processless thermal plates and vegetable ink. We print at 200lpi hybrid screening to the FOGRA29 standard for pin sharp high quality printing.
A word about grey text. It's not really grey, it's black. Printers just print a fine pattern of "dots" to make it look like grey. Because Inky prints using a finer screen than many printers (many print letterheads at 133lpi, rather than 200lpi), this results in a much nicer job than you might be used to!
Q. Will the ink on these letterheads peel off in my laser printer like the lot I bought from my local quick printer?
A. No. These letterheads are printed using a lithographic printing press on high quality laser compatible paper. The peeling off business happens when you use letterheads that have been pre-printed on a digital printer.
Q. I feel dirty buying a product made of paper and weep for the rainforests, how can you sleep at night?
A. We use brand name paper from reputable paper mills, which use only farmed pulp paper. Dry your tears, it's the same principle as farmed carrots, except without all the pesticides.
Our standard and supreme papers are currently (different weights of) Navigator manufactured by the Portucel Soporcel Group of Portugal. It's made from domestically sourced eucalyptus pulp (they actually farm it themselves). Paper doesn't really get much more environmentally friendly than this, you can read more about it here:-

The rainforests are completely safe from us. In fact the last bits are being cleared as we speak to make way for more palm oil plantations to supply margarine, chocolate, oven chips and cosmetics. Oh now, stop your blubbering, you're making the keyboard all wet.

Standard service is 5 working days to print from approval of artwork and we then send them on a next business day courier.
For non-account customers (with the exception of UK government and local government), we do not schedule your job until payment has been made.
We can upgrade the delivery service to guaranteed next business day service or a Saturday delivery at an extra charge. If you need it in a hurry then the 2 day to print express service is 40% extra. All service times are working days until your print job (and finishing) is complete, don't forget to add time in transit to your planning. Collection from our factory is available BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.
Your first PDF proof is free of charge with your order. This will be viewable through your admin area of the web site. If you find that you need to make alterations and resubmit your artwork, we do charge £5 for each additional proof.
You can also specify a hard copy proof, this is a colour layout proof printed on a digital press on our standard high quality 100gsm smooth white matt paper. If you need additional proofs, these will be charged at £7.50 each.
First of all, please read section 3 - "How fast do you need them?". Other things to bear in mind are that "business days" for the next business day delivery service is defined by the courier company as Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays. This is not a guaranteed next day service, though you can pay extra and order this. Although it's not always possible, it's a really, really good idea to build an extra day into your schedule "just in case"!

The latest generation landscape lithographic press. This means that they are compatible with standard office laser printers as well as inkjet printers. They are not printed on a digital press, letterheads printed on a digital press are not compatible with laser printers.
