1 What size poster do you need?
A2 is 594 x 420mm
A1 is 841 x 594mm
A0 is 1189 x 841mm
We can print just about any size you can imagine, please call the helpdesk on 01452 751900 who will set you up with an on-line price in a few minutes.
If you want small posters, i.e. A4 and A3 size then look these up under "leaflets" (you'll find this under "Promotional Printing" in the main menu.
2 What type of paper do you need?
Matt (140gsm) is a water resistant bond paper.
Satin (200gsm) has a slight sheen.
Both are good quality papers, but the Satin is more suitable for photographic type images. The apparent resolution will be higher on the Satin paper and colours are slightly more "punchy".
3 What type of encapsulation do you need?
First of all, what does encapsulation mean? In this context, encapulation is where we laminate both sides of your poster with a thin plastic film and include a clear lip all the way round. This seals and protects the poster.
You can select from either a gloss or matt film.
4 Quantity?
For very large quantities, please call the helpdesk who can advise on the best method of manufacturing large numbers of posters.
5 How fast do you need them?
Standard service is 3 working days to print from approval of artwork and we then send your order on a next business day courier. For non-account customers (with the exception of UK government and local government), we do not schedule your job until payment has been made. We can upgrade the delivery service to guaranteed next business day service or a Saturday delivery at an extra charge. If you need it in a hurry then the 2 and 1 day to print express services are available. All service times are working days until your print job is complete, don't forget to add time in transit to your planning. Collection from our factory is available BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.
6 What proofing do you need?
Your first PDF proof is free of charge with your order. This will be viewable through your admin area of the web site. If you find that you need to make alterations and resubmit your artwork, we do charge £5 for each additional proof. You can also opt for a reduced size hard copy print. These cost £7 each and will be printed at A3 size and posted to you.
7 What delivery option do you need?
We include next business day delivery in these prices. Bear in mind are that "business days" for the next business day delivery service is defined by the courier company as Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays. Standard delivery is not a guaranteed next day service and it is not possible to request a delivery time. More than 95% of deliveries are made next day, but you can upgrade this to a next day AM service. The courier do guarantee that this is next day during the morning. Normal delivery is Monday-Friday, but if you need a Saturday delivery then you can select this option.
Although it's not always possible, it's a really, really good idea to build an extra day into your schedule "just in case"!
8 How will you be supplying your artwork?
We only accept artwork in print-ready PDF format for posters via our on line service. If your artwork is in any other format, please contact the help desk for assistance.
