red box enotes

why are enotes important?

These days, the "help desk" is a team, not a person.  So it's become really important for us to be able to track the "history" of your order as every team member cannot possibly know the status of every order.  So, when you call or email us, whoever answers will have access to all the information that they need.

Please note: you can still send us emails, but the helpdesk are trained to deal with enotes first, so an enote will get dealt with much quicker. You'll also make their life easier as they will have to turn your email into an enote in any case!

how do enotes work?

When Inky creates a new enote to you (either automatically, or typed in by someone at the help desk), you will get a notification by email and also your Inky admin area will show "unread" enotes. You can read your enote in admin > enotes and the notification email will also include the last message. When you want to reply to an enote, please don't send us an email, simply reply through the admin > enotes screen. It's really straightforward to use.

When you want to send an enote to Inky, go to Admin > enotes. Click on "add new enote" , select the type of enote you want to create and select the order that the enote relates to (if appropriate). After that, just type your message in the note box and click "send". The system will generate a "subject" line for you, i.e. "My Proof, order number 19254" and you can edit that if you wish. That's it - done!

tech tip: admin > enotes has only been tested to work with IE 6 and later or Firefox 2 and later and you must have "active scripting" (AKA Javascript) enabled.
